My front entryway has been a neglected part of my home. I’ve lived in my house for about 5 months now and I’m slowly getting around to making each space my own. The entryway is a small space but one that has a lot of potential. Here is what I’ve envision for my entryway decor inspiration.

Entryway Decor Inspiration

My front entryway is a small space, but I can see the potential in it. There is a lot of natural light thanks to a big window and my front door. I want to keep the space feeling light and airy with some pops of color. The decor throughout my house is pretty neutral, but I plan on adding in some pink accents here.
I currently have a black front door. From the moment I bought my house I knew I wanted to paint my front door a pale dusty pink color. I think Sherwin Williams Charming Pink is the perfect dusty pink. It is a little more cool toned which will balance off my warmer floors nicely.
Currently my window is bare, and it’s off center from the middle of the room. I plan on disguising the fact that it’s not centered with some linen curtains. All my doorknobs in my house are an oil-rubbed bronze so I plan on carrying that through with the curtain rod.
Since the entryway space is so small I plan to add some gold hooks to hang up coats, bags, and leashes. A nice bench beneath the window will be great for putting on shoes. I plan on adding a couple pillows in both neutral and pink to the bench to cozy up the space a little.
I plan on forgoing a traditional doormat and instead want to put a runner down. Since this is a high-traffic area I want a darker color to disguise any muddy footprints my dog brings in. It also wouldn’t feel right if I didn’t include a plant in this space. A snake plant is perfect because it will be in the corner away from most of the light, and snake plants are pretty indestructible.
I can’t wait to complete this space and share the before and after’s of how it turned out. For more home decor inspiration check out this post on how I refreshed my main bathroom on a budget.
