It’s officially L.L. Bean Boot season!! I have had a pair of Bean boots for 5 years now and I can’t believe it took me so long to get them. These are a very iconic New England shoe and I think they should be in everyone’s wardrobe. Today I’m sharing my Bean boot review and why you should consider grabbing a pair!

Sizing
I am usually a size 8 in all shoes. I actually sized down a full size to a 7 in my Bean boots and could even go down another 1/2 size. I wear mine with thicker socks usually so they don’t feel overly large. I would definitely consider sizing down in these for the best fit. I’ve always felt very secure wearing my boots because the laces are able to tie so tightly.

Warmth
There are a few different style Bean boots offered, but I have the shearling lined style. My feet have never been cold when wearing these boots. In fact, my feet have actually been sweaty at times wearing these! I wore my bean boots as my everyday shoes in Iceland. My feet stayed toasty warm and dry the entire time, even through the snow and rain.

Waterproof
Because these are a classic duck boot style, they are extremely waterproof. I’ve worn these in the rain and slush and my socks have never gotten wet. If the snow gets real deep some may get in the top since they are a shorter boot, but this isn’t something that happens too often.
Overall if you live somewhere where it snows I cannot recommend a pair of L.L. Bean Boots more. Do you own a pair of Bean Boots? Check out this post if you’re looking for neutral winter outfits to wear your Bean Boots with!
