Hi everyone!  Being at home the last month and a half has got me itching to re-decorate my entire house.  While I love spending some time each day on Pinterest and home furnishing sites adding items to my cart, I know I need to be careful with my money until these uncertain times are over.  That being said, I scratched my itch a little by giving one of our spare rooms, which I use as a closet and my yoga room, a little makeover.

I’m sure by now everyone has seen a post or two of someone’s whipped coffee.  The trend started in South Korea, but has quickly spread throughout the world. It’s pretty straightforward to make the whipped coffee, but I gave it my own little twist.  Note that this only works if you use instant coffee, regular ground coffee does not work.

I decided to use half almond milk and half vanilla oat milk creamer in my coffee.  This gave my coffee a creamier consistency once everything was blended.

You can experiment with adding flavor syrups to the whipped coffee to change the flavor profile.  Next time I make this coffee I’m going to blend in some vanilla syrup.

Add the coffee, sugar, and boiling water to a bowl.  Mix with a hand mixer on high for about 2 minutes, until everything is nice and creamy.  Add whipped coffee over almond milk/oat milk creamer, mix and enjoy!

Climate change and the impact it is having on our planet is no secret.  We’ve become so accustomed to ease of access and convenience that we don’t think twice about the amount of waste we generate.  I’m just as much to blame as anyone else, but I’ve been making conscious decisions over the past couple years to cut down on my waste.  I’ve eliminated most forms of single use plastic from our home, but there is still more I can do.
